PULSE DC
Young Professionals Promoting Heart Health
PULSE DC is the young professionals committee of the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Greater Washington Region. Committee members serve as ambassadors of the AHA, engaging others to live healthier lives. The group promotes heart health through various activities focused on fitness and nutrition.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death worldwide. Stroke is the fifth leading killer of all Americans. With these facts, it is nearly impossible to encounter an individual who has not been affected by these diseases. As a result, PULSE DC committee members are dedicated to spreading awareness about heart disease, stroke and the associated community impact.
Through their social and fundraising events, PULSE DC supports the research, education and advocacy efforts of the American Heart Association.
